Hi there! With all the new releases from Papertrey Ink, Altenew, and Hero Arts, I've been purchasing quite a few new sets that I still have yet to play with! When they all came in, it was quite overwhelming, especially trying to figure out where to start first so I decided to hold off for a bit. So today I went into my already owned stash of stamps. I pulled out an old set I have from Papertrey Ink. Once in a while, I like to revisit the wonderful sets I already own. Today I'm playing with
Vintage Linens Stamp Set. I love the beautiful flowers in the set and the leaves are gorgeous.
My card for today:
I used a
Soft Stone cardstock measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I cut a piece of pattern paper from My Mind's Eye paper pad and adhered that in the middle of the cardstock. Then I used the
Doily Details Die B to die cut a piece of white cardstock and blended it with Stampin' Up Rose Red ink. I stamped the sentiment, "Happy Birthday" from Stampin' Up Well Scripted Stamp Set on white cardstock. This is one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets because I love the elegance of the curly letters. I used my 1 3/4 circle punch to punch out the sentiment and then blended the edges with
Distress Oxide Ink in Fossilized Amber. I adhered it to the middle of the doily. This was placed in the middle of the pattern paper. The flowers were stamped in different colored inks with the edges in a darker color than the center. I die cut them and heat embossed them in clear embossing powder. I stamped several leaf images in Going Gray ink and die cut them as well. Next I assembled flowers and leaves onto the Soft Stone cardstock, placing them around the doily and sentiment. When done, I placed it onto a white card stock base. I love the colors on this card.
