Make It Monday #303

Hello all! In this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink, Ashley Canon Newell shows us how to create holiday photo cards.  She does a wonderful job and who knew you could stamp on photo paper!  Although it does get a bit sticky, the results are great.  I couldn't wait to try this out.

Here's Ashley's card:

My Card:

I love this idea although it may not be feasible to create 50 of these.  I do feel that I can make a few for some special family members. For the card, I was fortunate enough to have studio photos of my daughter that I recently had done.  She was a snow fairy, perfect for the winter holiday theme.  I printed this particular photo on photo paper and masked the photo before stamping.  I stamped around the edges with some snowflakes from Snowflake Serenade Stamp Set. I used Stampin' Up Going Gray ink and Baja Breeze ink to complement the colors in the photo.  I wanted a lighter gray so I stamped it off on scrap paper before stamping onto the photo card.  After stamping, I let the ink dry for a few minutes.  Next, I die cut some Sizzix Sizzlets snowflakes (I believe these dies are discontinued.  I purchased them quite a long time ago), coated them with some Pearl Cobalt Blue and White Gold from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl colors and let them dry.  Once dried, I added these onto the photo card with  Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive. I really do love how it turned out.  Hope you all get to try his out too!
