Galaxy Spaceship Cards

Hi there!  I've been seeing so many card bloggers creating galaxy backgrounds, so I decided to try it out myself.  I created three versions.  Just had too much fun making these gorgeous backgrounds. They look hard but they were so easy to make.

1st Card:

2nd Card:

3rd Card:

I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set as well as my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry set.  I chose the following colors to use for my background: Red (No. 32), Bright Yellow (No. 42), May Green (No.51), Blue (No. 64), and Wine Red (No. 36).  I lightly wet my watercolor paper with a large flat brush.  Then I added one color at a time with a wet brush, just randomly on the paper and dried each color with my heat gun before moving on to the next color filling up the white space on the watercolor paper.  Once all the colors were placed and dried, I added Black (No. 20) on top of all the colors, dabbed with a dry cloth, and heated it with my heat gun, continuously doing this until I got my desired look.  (The previous color will show through as you wet, dab, and dry.)  Next, I added droplets of White (No. 10) and heat dried it.  Then I added droplets of Yellow Gold (No.903) from my Kuretake Starry set and heat dried it as well.  I copic colored the spaceship and moon images from the Boy Basics: Out of This World Mini stamp set.  I stamped the sentiments on vellum and heat embossed it with Pure White crisp embossing powder. I adhered the sentiments underneath the spaceship and adhered everything on top of the galaxy watercolor paper.  I placed this on top of a Soft Stone card base.

Hope you like my cards today.  I had so much fun making them.  Try them out. They're not as hard as they look. Thanks for stopping in.
