Berry Boughs Winter Cutaway Cards

Today while my kids were at school, I had some quiet hours to myself to create and play without being interrupted every five minutes with "Mommy" questions.  It's always nice to have some uninterrupted time in my craft room.  I got to play with the Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs die and the Cutaway Tags: Winter stamp set.  I made a couple of cards to share with you today.

I made the same card twice but just changed the sentiment.  I used the Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs Die  to die cut a piece of white cardstock.  I colored the leaves and berries on the mat with some Copic markers.  Then I die cut another piece of white cardstock with the Cutaway Tags: Winter Die.   I used the Cutaway Tags: Winter stamp set to stamp the die and cut a piece of cardstock to stamp the sentiment and layered it on top.  I had some old Pure Poppy pattern paper from Papertrey Ink and used that as the background and adhered it to a Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White card base.  I tried to find the pattern paper online but I think it's been discontinued.  There is another Pure Poppy packet that would work great as well: Bitty Big Pure Poppy Color Collection.  I placed the Mix & Mat die on top of the pattern paper, then added the cutaway die on top of the mat.  To finish up the card, I added a red velvet bow on top of the cutaway die.
